2022 Irrigation Show leads the way in advancing irrigation

Plans are in full swing for the 2022 Irrigation Show and Education Week scheduled for Dec. 5-9 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Irrigation Association invites you to join the industry as we kick off this annual trade show and education week dedicated to the advancement of agriculture and turf/landscape irrigation. This year we are excited to bring back some popular features and introduce new exciting events. I can assure you that the 2022 Irrigation Show will bring plenty of opportunities to explore, connect and learn. And with the impressive backdrop of Las Vegas, this year will be a show to remember.

Explore new technology

The Irrigation Show brings you all of the latest products and technologies in the industry under one roof. The exhibit hall provides the unique opportunity to see these products firsthand and get your questions answered in person by knowledgeable representatives. Celebrating its 20th year in 2022, the new product contest showcases the best new products and technologies to hit the market in the last year. With our hybrid format for the contest, the judging takes place online before the show. All products will be showcased on the Irrigation Show website, and the public is welcome to watch the online presentations during the judging the week of Oct. 10 free of charge. All products will also be displayed on the Irrigation Show floor, and the winners will be announced live on Dec. 8. Awards will be presented in three categories: agriculture irrigation, landscape irrigation and landscape lighting. A new twist for 2022, winners will be selected in three tiers – gold, silver and bronze. With the success of last year’s new Innovation Hub, Innovation Row and Pitch Competition, these exciting additions will return in 2022. Innovation Hub is a special area of the exhibit hall full of action, including award announcements and a variety of product demos and presentations. This area will also host the Pitch Competition, where irrigation startup companies featured in Innovation Row are offered the opportunity to share their technologies with the industry. These exciting elements give you a peek into the future of our industry and how technology is continually advancing and allowing irrigation professionals to be more precise and efficient with irrigation water use.

Industry Insights & IA University

Education opportunities will abound during the show’s Education Week, offering even more ways to not only learn irrigation skills but also stay up to date on the latest issues affecting the industry and your business. Education week features both Industry Insights presentations and IA University.

Industry Insights will include presentations and panel discussions on everything from research and innovation to regulatory complexities and management strategies. Expert presenters will be chosen through a proposal submission process, and presentations will be focused on specific content areas. These sessions do not require preregistration and are included in your full registration. Watch the website for more details about the Industry Insights schedule. IA University consists of core curriculum for core skill sets. These classes are offered every year to ensure you have the foundational and practical skills necessary to design, install or maintain an irrigation system, as well as the business skills to manage a small irrigation company. These classes require an additional fee and preregistration is encouraged to ensure a seat.

 Bonus in 2022

For this year’s show in Las Vegas, the IA is co-locating with the National Ground Water Association’s Groundwater Week. This is an advantage to you and your business with more to see and explore on the trade show floor and almost double the attendees to connect and network with.

More connecting & entertainment

This year’s show will bring a week filled with exciting networking opportunities and unique entertainment options. We kick things off Vegas-style with the Viva Las Vegas Reception featuring food, music and fun – with door prizes for the first 500 attendees to arrive. Throughout the week, networking events will welcome young professionals, women in irrigation, new show attendees, IA members and more. These popular offerings encourage connections with peers and business partners, while providing encouragement and inspiration from likeminded people in the industry. Before the weekends, we’ll enjoy a special concert event at the famed Las Vegas House of Blues and celebrate the close of a successful event with a Craft Brewfest on the show floor. The best part is that all of these fabulous events are included in your full registration. Las Vegas is known as the Entertainment Capital of the World, and with its glitz and glamour, this popular destination offers nonstop excitement.

 One-of-a-kind tour

2022 is a great chance to take advantage of the famous landmark attractions Las Vegas has to offer. The IA is offering show attendees a behind-the-scenes look at the world-renowned fountains at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino. During this tour, a fountain control engineer will provide a one-hour in-depth tour of the Bellagio fountains and show how this iconic attraction stays operational, day in and day out. This tour includes a $25 fee and requires preregistration.
