This special edition offers a unique opportunity for students, recent graduates, and early-career professionals to publish their work and gain international visibility.

Irrigazette.com, the leading international irrigation magazine and the official media platform of the European Irrigation Association (EIA), is launching a special Spring Edition for students and young professionals.

With more than 6,000 monthly visitors worldwide, Irrigazette.com connects researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and industry experts working in irrigation and sustainable water management. This special edition offers a unique opportunity for students (including PhD candidates), recent graduates, and young professionals to publish their work and gain international visibility.

We invite the next generation of water professionals to contribute to the global dialogue on innovation, resilience, and sustainability in water use. And we warmly encourage universities, research institutions, and professional networks to share this call with students and young professionals eager to contribute to advancing sustainable irrigation and water management worldwide.

 

 

 

 

Topics of Interest

We invite abstract submissions (300–500 words) in English on the following topics:

  • Irrigation & Agricultural Water Use

    (efficiency, technologies, innovation)

  • Urban–Rural Water Management

    (twinned water use for agriculture and cities)

  • Landscape & Urban Design for Water

    (green infrastructure, ecological restoration, plant-based and water-sensitive landscapes)

  • Policy, Regulations & Water Governance

    (climate adaptation, circular economy approaches)

  • Cross-Cutting Innovations for Sustainable Plant Water Uses

    (emerging technologies, interdisciplinary approaches, sustainable financing)

Submission Guidelines

  • Abstract length: 300–500 words

  • Language: English

  • Images: Optional

  • References: Strongly encouraged

All submissions will be editorially reviewed and the the full article deadline will be assigned upon abstract acceptance. Selected abstracts will be invited to develop a full article for publication in the Spring Edition.

Abstracts should be submited in .docx or .docx format via email to communication@irrigationeurope.eu. Abstracts are being accepted on a rolling basis until May 18th.
