European Investment Bank Water Resilience Programme

The European Investment Bank (EIB) is planning to invest a lot more in the water sector. They plan to set aside €15 billion for this between 2025 and 2027, mainly to support the development and modernization of essential water infrastructure.

This financing is necessary to support the development and modernization of critical water infrastructure, including reservoirs, pipelines, and treatment plants.

At the same time, the EIB puts a high priority on projects that aim to reduce water losses, improve efficiency, and control pollution.

A key part of the EIB's program is making sure that anyone who needs funding can get it. The Bank helps smaller municipalities and local utility companies get the money and services they need to improve and grow their water services. This helps reduce differences between regions and makes sure that good water infrastructure is available in all areas, not just in larger or wealthier areas. Read more: Source
