Renaud Muselier, President of the Provence-Alpes-Cote d’Azur Regional Council in France, Visits Israel to Speak about the Drought

“Israel has a lot of know-how in these areas”. Renaud Muselier, president of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur regional council, visited Israel in May of this year within the context of Ecomotion Week, the international rendezvous for intelligent mobility. Each year, the event highlights the country’s best technologies in the fields of irrigation and agriculture.

Mr. Muselier spoke about the “Blue Gold Plan”, aimed at saving water and improving its management in the south of France, which is currently being hit by drought. It is a plan that is based on the existing strengths and which does not hesitate to draw inspiration from experiences gained on the other side of the Mediterranean, particularly in Israel. “The Israelis are very strong on water treatment. I hope to forge future partnerships in this area between our region and the State of Israel. There exists a real know-how”, he said.

Mr. Muselier hoped for partnerships to be created between the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region and the State of Israel. “We need to work together, and that is the reason for this trip,” he concluded.
